Low Vacuum Dehydration Machine (LVDH) Manufacturer in India
Even 500ppm of moisture in oil leads to catastrophic failures in hydraulic systems
AUTOMATIC OPERATION
1. The challenge is to remove moisture without heating to ensure the quality does not deteriorate
2. Or degrades when heated beyond 50°C
3. The biggest enemy of hydraulic food is moisture
The LVDH is the only system, which can remove, cracked oil, thus restoring oil to its original properties.
The LVDH unit removes water/moisture to below 50% of the saturation point in oil at low temperature. (44-600C) and finds application in:
- Hydraulic oils
- Turbine oils
- Compressor oils
- Vacuum pump and compressor seal oils
- Gear oils
- Dehydration before blending different oils.
With a range of models tailored to suit various needs, including the LVDH 600, 900, 2100, 3000, and 6000, we offer versatility and efficacy in oil restoration. Whether you’re managing a small-scale operation or a large industrial facility, there’s an LVDH model to meet your requirements.
Complete Filtration & Utility (CFAU) is an LVDH machine manufacturer based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, supplying industries across India. Our fully automatic Low Vacuum Dehydration Machine removes free, emulsified and dissolved water, along with entrained air and gases, from hydraulic, turbine, compressor and gear oils. It works at a low temperature of 44–60°C, so the oil is dried without being damaged.
Moisture is the biggest enemy of hydraulic fluid. A CFAU LVDH unit brings water content down to below 50% of the oil’s saturation point, extending oil life and protecting pumps, valves, bearings and gearboxes from breakdowns. Our range covers five models, LVDH 600, 900, 2100, 3000 and 6000, for everything from single machines to large industrial plants.
What Is an LVDH Machine?
An LVDH (Low Vacuum Dehydration) machine is an offline oil purification system that uses gentle heat and vacuum to remove moisture from industrial oils. Under vacuum, water boils at a much lower temperature than normal, so the machine separates it without overheating the oil.
Water is present in oil in three forms:
- Free water: visible droplets or a water layer that settles at the bottom of the tank.
- Emulsified water: tiny droplets suspended in the oil, which make it look cloudy or milky.
- Dissolved water: water held invisibly at the molecular level, like humidity in air.
Settling tanks and conventional filters remove only part of the free water. A low vacuum dehydration unit removes all three forms, which makes it one of the most complete solutions for moisture-related oil problems.
Why Moisture Is the Biggest Enemy of Hydraulic Oil
Once water rises above the oil’s saturation point, which for many hydraulic oils is only a few hundred ppm, it starts to cause serious damage:
- Rust and corrosion on pumps, valves, cylinders and bearings
- Loss of lubricity and a thinner oil film, which increases wear
- Additive depletion and faster oil oxidation
- Sludge and varnish that block filters and cause valves to stick
- Servo and proportional valve failures in hydraulic systems
- Shorter bearing life and unplanned shutdowns
- Frequent oil replacement and higher maintenance costs
An industrial oil dehydration machine removes the root cause instead of treating the symptoms.
The Challenge: Removing Water Without Damaging the Oil
Heating oil to high temperatures to drive off water breaks down the oil and its additives. The real challenge is removing moisture while keeping the oil’s quality intact.
The CFAU LVDH solves this by working under vacuum. Because water evaporates at a much lower temperature under reduced pressure, the machine only needs to heat the oil to 44–60°C. The oil is dehydrated without thermal stress, so it can go back into service and keep performing.
How Does a Low Vacuum Dehydration Machine Work?
Our LVDH machine works on the principle of low-temperature vacuum distillation:
- Oil intake: contaminated oil is drawn from the reservoir through a coarse strainer.
- Gentle heating: the oil is heated to just 44–60°C.
- Vacuum chamber: the warm oil enters a vacuum chamber operating at up to 5 mbar, where it spreads into a thin film. The low pressure makes the water evaporate at low temperature.
- Degassing: dissolved air and gases are pulled out of the oil at the same time.
- Condensation: water vapour moves to a refrigerated condenser, turns back into liquid, and collects in a water tank.
- Fine filtration: the dry oil passes through a 3–10 micron cartridge filter to remove solid particles.
- Return: clean, dry oil is pumped back to the system.
The machine works as a kidney-loop system, so it can run while your equipment is operating, with no shutdown required.
Fully Automatic Operation
The CFAU LVDH is designed to run automatically with minimal operator attention. Once connected to the reservoir and started, it continuously dehydrates, degasses and filters the oil.
- Automatic, continuous operation
- Automatic water drain from the condensate tank
- Oil level and vacuum controls with automatic shut-off
- Alarms for high temperature, low level or filter clogging
- PLC / control panel with indicators
